Saginaw Community Foundation Senior Enrichment Fund today announced a
grant of $9,600 to provide computers and software to monitor the
administration of medications for residents of Community Village. The
"Extended Care Professional" system will be linked to Home Town Pharmacy
of Ann Arbor in a web-based program that charts the accurate
administration of every medication. The program will also be expanded
to create personal care plans for every resident and monitor the daily
progress of each plan.
Community
Village administrator, Ken Streeter, in sharing the good news of the
grant, stated, "This new system will put Community Village on the
cutting edge of technology and safety. When coupled with the personal
care values of our front line staff, I am thrilled that we will be able
to deliver the best possible care to the frail elders who make Community
Village their home."
