VOLUNTEER

The opportunity to serve the precious senior guests at Community Village is a special one indeed. Volunteers at CV help with group activities, work with CV staff to prepare special projects, and often simply visit with the seniors.

Please contact Kaye Whelton at 989-792-5442 for more information about volunteering at CV!

“Shortly after I retired from teaching I started searching for a place to volunteer. I looked at a list of agencies, and made some other contacts before calling the Rescue Mission. I appreciate how easy the process is for a volunteer.

I’m a volunteer aide in the women’s emergency shelter and I appreciate the help staff offers to people in need. I feel that I’m part of the team. The staff trusts me as a volunteer and gives me responsibilities. I enjoy working with the clients very much.

I’m tired of hearing the negatives about Saginaw and believe that helping the people of Saginaw ultimately makes the city a better place to live."
